Volunteers and staff at Ruddington’s Framework Knitters’ Museum are once again showing visitors the delights of their unique heritage site, following the completion of refurbishment work there costing £62,295. The funds for the work were awarded through the Arts Council of England’s Museum Estate and Development Fund (MEND). As previously reported, Ruddington’s motorists are already facing longer and longer delays at the Loughborough Road/Kirk Lane/Flawforth Lane traffic lights caused by increased traffic volumes unmitigated by delayed junction improvement work there. New Ruddington Café Shelter Opens

Visitors to Rushcliffe Country Park can now enjoy an extra place to take refuge from the rain – or the sun! – thanks to a brand new natural wood shelter constructed near the Visitor Centre. Country Park Path Closures

A major programme of works has been announced, taking place throughout this summer, to maintain and repair the network of pathways which criss-cross Rushcliffe Country Park. Recycling and re-using are at the heart of a special ‘pre-loved’ clothing event coming to our village next month. Ruddington’s award-winning Framework Knitters’ Museum is teaming up with ‘The Big Swap Shop’ to host a swap and ‘slow’ fashion event on Saturday 10th June from 6pm to 9pm. Bus Fares Rise – But Price Cap Extended

Ruddington’s main bus operator – which runs the Navy 3 and Green 10 services, in our village – has announced that new fares will be introduced on its services from Sunday 28th May 2023. Nottingham City Transport (NCT) is blaming the latest rises on significant increases in its costs – which the company says resulted in an operational loss during the last financial year.
