Players and staff at our village cricket club are celebrating an exciting and successful summer which has seen their 1st team secure promotion for the 2024 season! Next year Ruddington Cricket Club will be playing in Division B of the South Nottinghamshire Cricket League after finishing second in Division C in 2023. In the world of Nottinghamshire football, Notts County isn’t the only team marking an incredible 2022-2023 season. Even closer to home, Ruddington Village FC senior men are also celebrating promotion. Council Approves ‘Ruddy Duck’!

Ruddington is soon to have its own very distinctive, feathered mascot – after ‘Ruddy Duck’ was given the go ahead at the full meeting of Ruddington Parish Council (RPC) last night (14th May). The airborne ambassador was proposed by RPC’s Events Sub-Committee to ‘engender a sense of fun’ around our village at forthcoming events such as its Summer and Christmas Fayres, the Great Get Together, Kite Festival, and more.
