With our brand new Ruddington Village Market now less than a fortnight away, promotional leaflets have begun dropping through local letterboxes this weekend to try to ensure that even our less internet-savvy residents get to hear about it! Fancy Doing Something New in 2019?

If you’re aged 18 or over, and can spare a few hours a week or month, Ruddington District Girlguiding needs YOU! Our relatively large village is home to two Rainbow packs, two Brownies packs, one Guide pack and one Rangers section. Recent adventures across the sections include designing a sandwich and packaging, crazy golf and Country Park games. More adult help is now needed to continue such activities in 2019 – with fundraising at Asda (via packing bags) and a district camp for all sections already organised in the coming weeks.…

As Father Christmas prepares to welcome thousands of excited youngsters and their parents aboard the annual “Santa Specials” at Ruddington’s Great Central Railway (Nottingham), the newly relaunched restaurant there will also be worth a visit this year. ‘The Heritage Café’ officially opens this Saturday (1st December) under the new management team of Karen Law and her partner Jim Goodinson.
