By Yourself On Christmas Day?

If so, you needn’t be!

Ruddington Baptist Church is hosting another Christmas Day lunch for people who would otherwise be alone on December 25th.

Organiser Gwynneth Owen says: “Residents of all ages are welcome – whether your family has flown the nest, they’re too far away, or it’s just ‘complicated’. Come and join us along with other folk for a warm and friendly get together on Christmas Day!”

Doors will open at one o’clock for welcome drinks and nibbles – with Christmas dinner plus all the trimmings being served at around two o’clock. This includes pudding, drinks, general goodies and a chance to be sociable. They emphasise that pre-booking is essential, please.

They may be able to help with transport, if necessary, which you’re asked to discuss with them when booking. There’s a suggested voluntary donation of £5 for the meal.

As of Friday 21st December there are still plenty of places left around the table at ‘The Hub’ on Musters Road in Ruddington. So, if you would like to be part of the Baptists’ festive Christmas Day celebrations, or you know of anyone who might like to join join them – please get in touch as soon as possible! Contact is by emailing secretary@ruddingtonbaptist.org.uk or ‘phoning Gwynneth on 07980 938574.

Please spread the word to reach the people of Ruddington who don’t want to be on their own this Christmas.
