Fancy Doing Something New in 2019?

If you’re aged 18 or over, and can spare a few hours a week or month, Ruddington District Girlguiding needs YOU!

Our relatively large village is home to two Rainbow packs, two Brownies packs, one Guide pack and one Rangers section. Recent adventures across the sections include designing a sandwich and packaging, crazy golf and Country Park games. More adult help is now needed to continue such activities in 2019 – with fundraising at Asda (via packing bags) and a district camp for all sections already organised in the coming weeks.

District Commissioner Delegate, Sandy Flavill says: “We provide exciting, fun and inspiring sessions for girls aged from 5 to 18. We offer a wide variety of activities such as camping, DIY, arts and crafts, First Aid training, bicycle safety and theatre trips to name but a few. To enable us to keep offering these opportunities to local girls, we need to recruit more adult volunteers. We guarantee you’ll have a blast!”

Probably needless to say, anyone who comes forward will need to go through the usual Government Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks before being allowed to work with children.

If you’d like to know more, you’re asked to email Sandy as soon as possible via ruddingtongirlguiding@outlook.com.
