August RuddFest Confirmed

Ruddington’s much loved annual Beer and Cider Festival, which was cancelled completely in 2020 due to COVID-19, will go ahead this year – at the end of this month! In February, a decision was made to push back further the 3rd-6th June dates originally considered for RuddFest 2021 because some Coronavirus restrictions in England would still be in force. In a move designed to “solve” at least ONE of Ruddington’s numerous parking issues, village residents on a quiet cul-de-sac off Easthorpe Street may finally see an end to motorists obstructing access to their properties. Update to Stamp Duty Thresholds

Wilford Road Closing for a Week

Drivers are being reminded that Wilford Road in Ruddington is to be shut for a whole week this August as highway contractors finish constructing the new junction into the Bloor Homes ‘Fairham Green’ development. The current temporary traffic lights will be swapped for a total road closure from Monday 2nd to Sunday 8th August inclusive whilst these roadworks are carried out, meaning (except in an emergency) no vehicular traffic will be allowed through.
