Animal Craftwork Sale

Support the festive fundraising sale in the Meeting Room of the Visitor Centre at Rushcliffe Country Park on Wednesday 7th December from 10am to 3pm. The event is by registered charity Friends of Rushcliffe Country Park (FoRCP). Resident volunteer carpenter Roger Byrne is holding an ‘Animal Craftwork Sale’ of carved items he’s made using his bandsaw – also his creative skill. BioBlitz at Rushcliffe Country Park

Family and friends come to this free event to count the number of wildlife species living in our Country Park. On Sunday 3rd July, BioBlitz continues, between 10am and 5pm. BioBlitz is a fun way to find as many different type of plants and animals in the park in just one day and one night – which started yesterday evening, with the Bat walk and talk! BioBlitz Evening at Rushcliffe Country Park

You’re invited to the BioBlitz event – on tonight and tomorrow. The race is on to find as many different species (e.g. plants, birds, insects, fungi, mammals, fish) and everything else in 24-hours! This is an outdoor, family event where expert naturalists and the public get together to undertake an intensive wildlife survey. ‘Bombs to Butterflies’ Reprinted

Our village is very fortunate to have the open green space of the Rushcliffe Country Park on our doorstep. But have you ever wondered about its history?
