Linden Homes is the latest property developer to submit a full planning application to Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) to build a major new housing estate in Ruddington – even though the site in question has yet to be removed from our Green Belt. New Police Warning About Thefts from Vehicles

Although May was another relatively quiet month for crime in Ruddington, many of the incidents investigated by officers were again thefts from motor vehicles parked in residential areas of our village. These accounted for nearly half the offences reported. Police are reminding people not to leave valuables in unattended cars and vans, particularly overnight. 174 Homes Proposed for Flood Prone Green Belt

A full planning application to build 174 new homes on agricultural land west of Wilford Road in Ruddington has now been submitted to Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC). In an election outcome which may surprise many Ruddingtonians, Labour has stolen two out of the three available seats on Rushcliffe Borough Council from the Conservatives. Police Warnings on Ruddington Crime

Earlier this month, we reported a 75% drop in the amount of reported crime in Ruddington during March 2019 in comparison with the month before – with Rushcliffe Police recording just NINE offences. After an appeal by Rushcliffe Borough Council, a popular Ruddington Facebook group, which offers information and advice for village parents, has pledged to join in with this year’s ‘Great British Spring Clean’. Application For Another 180 Houses Submitted

Following its ‘public consultation’ in January, William Davis Homes has now put in for outline planning permission to build 180 houses on ‘Land East Of Loughborough Road’ in Ruddington. This site, off the Mere Way Roundabout, is one of the Green Belt development areas earmarked in Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Local Plan Part 2 which was formerly known as RUD13.
