Loyalty Card’s October Launch

An exciting new initiative to encourage more residents and visitors to use our village centre shops, pubs, cafés, restaurants, takeaways and other traders will launch at the start of next month. The Ruddington Loyalty Scheme comes as high street retailers everywhere are facing more challenging trading conditions in these increasingly internet-dominated times. Ruddington Traders Join #MyHighStreet Initiative

Last month we told you about the launch of the 2018 “Great British High Street Awards” run by The Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government. Back in April we reported how local traders in Ruddington began exploring innovative new ways they might work together to attract more residents and visitors to use our village centre. Ruddington Parish Council’s third annual Summer Fayre is being held on The Green this Saturday 21st July 2018, between 12 noon and 6pm. Refill Ruddington

Outlets in Ruddington are being encouraged to join a new scheme enabling the public to refill their reusable water bottles here free of charge – and so reduce single-use plastics.  Rushcliffe Borough Council says it’s looking for environmentally minded groups or individuals to join “Refill Rushcliffe” – for the benefit of both village residents and the many visitors who flock to Ruddington. Gino’s Cooking Oil Crook Convicted

A man arrested on suspicion of stealing cooking oil from Gino’s Italian Restaurant in Ruddington just before Christmas has been convicted at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on two charges of theft. Rushcliffe Police released a CCTV image (right) of the person they believed to be responsible after one of the incidents at the rear of the Church Street premises at 5.05am on Thursday 27th December 2017. The man found guilty of the used oil thefts is 52 year-old Errol Kus from Grantham. Mr Kus was given a conditional discharge of six months for both offences.…
