Ruddington Parish Council’s third annual Summer Fayre is being held on The Green this Saturday 21st July 2018, between 12 noon and 6pm. Twin Town Teams’ Football and Fun!

Ruddington has entertained two young teams from A.G. Grenay, the football club from our French Twin town, Grenay, in north eastern France. From Thursday 10th May to Sunday 13th May our village hosted a total of 33 people including the Mayor of Grenay and his wife, 21 children aged from 12 to 15 years and a collection of football coaches and parents. Asher Lane Planning Inquiry Concludes

Today was the final day of the Public Inquiry into the appeal against the decision by Rushcliffe Borough Council to refuse planning permission for 175 homes off Asher Lane. The Public Inquiry into the refusal by Rushcliffe Borough Council to grant planning permission for the building of 175 homes off Asher Lane in Ruddington began yesterday (Tuesday 17th April) at Rushcliffe Arena under the appointed Inspector, Nick Fagan. Twin Town Teenagers’ Visit

The latest visit to Ruddington by visitors from Grenay, our twin town in France, took place over the weekend. From Thursday the 10th to Saturday the 12th of August fourteen youngsters aged from 12 to 16, accompanied by three youth workers, spent two full days with us. Activities included visits to the Framework Knitters’ Museum and Village Museum, as well as a trip to the Chinese Dinosaur Exhibition at Wollaton Hall and its satellite exhibition at Nottingham University. When Cutting a Corner is Welcomed

A public spirited villager has come to the rescue in Ruddington. The pavement on the corner of St John’s Road and St Mary’s Crescent has a very steep kerb making it difficult, even dangerous, for mobility scooter and wheelchair users, people with prams and with pushchairs to negotiate the corner safely. A complaint was received by Ruddington Parish Council after a mobility scooter user fell into the road from the slope. Fortunately the lady was only slightly injured.
