Detectives investigating a report of two cars being stolen following a burglary in Ruddington have arrested a man as part of their enquiries. Officers were called to a property along Flawforth Lane on Monday 7th September after it was reported that car keys had been stolen in a house burglary and the cars then taken from the drive. Patrons enjoying a pleasant Saturday night out at a Ruddington pub found themselves surrounded by police and emergency services! Officers sped to The Red Heart on Easthorpe Street at around 9.20pm, and cordoned off the road, after a glass bottle was believed to have been thrown at a man in a fight – which left him nursing a neck wound.
