Further Green Belt Housing Plans Revealed

William Davis Homes is the latest property developer to show its hand in Ruddington by publishing proposals for around 180 new homes it wants to build on “land off Mere Way”. This is one of the Green Belt sites earmarked in Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Local Plan Part 2 – outlined in red above – which was formerly known as RUD13. Village Jewellers Targeted Again

A jewellery shop in the centre of Ruddington has once again fallen victim to crime overnight. Rushcliffe Police have reported a burglary at David Richards Jewellers on Church Street in the early hours of this morning (Sunday 13th January). Fly-Tipping in Ruddington Continues

Frustration is growing that the illegal dumping of waste seems to be continuing unabated around our village despite Council and Police efforts to thwart the criminals who’re doing it. Criminals’ Quiet Christmas

Statistics released on crimes reported in Ruddington through the festive period suggest that even many law-breakers were enjoying a Christmas break this year! Figures for last month from Rushcliffe Police show there were only fifteen reported offences in our village – ranging from criminal damage, to racial abuse, to the non-payment of a bill by guests at The Cottage Hotel. Clifton Road Footpath & Cycleway Construction Begins!

It’s been announced that the creation of Ruddington’s long awaited “safe” footway from Clifton Road via the Old Station Drive development directly into the Pasture Lane Estate will finally begin this Monday! Our relatively large village is home to two Rainbow packs, two Brownies packs, one Guide pack and one Rangers section. Recent adventures across the sections include designing a sandwich and packaging, crazy golf and Country Park games.
