Our main village bus operator has revealed further timetable changes to Ruddington’s Green 10 service soon – to be followed by brand new, eco-friendly Navy 3 buses early next year. Roadworks Force Bus Timetable Changes

The return of four-way temporary traffic signals to Ruddington’s Loughborough Road/Kirk Lane/Flawforth Lane junction, coupled with the latest bombshell that these lights will now continue until November, has led Ruddington’s main operator to revise one of its timetables until the works are completed. Ruddington’s New ‘Green’ Buses on Schedule

Back in March we reported the announcement by Ruddington’s main bus operator that its entire fleet of 78 single decker buses will be fully electrified from 2023. This includes replacing the three diesel-powered Navy 3 branded ‘Optare Solo’ buses which Nottingham City Transport (NCT) currently uses for its Nottingham to Clifton route via Ruddington. Ruddington’s main bus operator has announced that its entire fleet of single decker buses will be fully electrified from next year. This includes replacing the three diesel-powered Navy 3 branded Optare Solo buses which Nottingham City Transport uses for its Nottingham to Clifton route via Ruddington. The city is to receive £15 million of Government funding towards the cost of 78 brand new buses in total, plus the additional required electric charging infrastructure. Ruddington Says “YES”!

Volunteers from the Ruddington Neighbourhood Plan (RNP) team say they’re delighted that residents have overwhelmingly backed their vision for our village in yesterday’s big referendum (Thursday 22nd July 2021). Once counting was completed after the polls closed at 10pm, it was revealed that 1,068 votes were cast, out of which an overwhelming 91.2% of villagers had voted in favour of the Plan with just 8.5% against.
