Ruddington drivers who usually use Asher Lane to gain access to their homes – or get to the back entrance of Rushcliffe Country Park – are being advised of an unscheduled road closure which could last for a couple of days. Incident Closes Clifton Road For Six Hours

Motorists trying to get between Ruddington and Clifton have found themselves facing a long diversion this evening (Thursday 12th September) after Clifton Road was closed to traffic. Officers put cordons in place – and blocked the route with police cars – to prevent access to and from Wilford Road at ‘Tavern Island’ after an accident near the end of Clifton Road.
