Major Ruddington Junction Work Begins

Long-awaited highway improvements to alleviate the daily traffic queues at an increasingly busy village crossroads are starting this weekend – and will take around five months to complete. Ruddington’s June Roadworks

As previously reported, Ruddington’s motorists are already facing longer and longer delays at the Loughborough Road/Kirk Lane/Flawforth Lane traffic lights caused by increased traffic volumes unmitigated by delayed junction improvement work there. Now we’re also being warned about additional hold-ups and disruption this summer due to roadworks scheduled along Loughborough Road and elsewhere in our village – even before this long overdue junction work finally begins. In June 2023 alone, there’s a week of water pipe renewals on the A60, five days of gas work by The Green and a weekend of…

Motorists who usually use Packman Drive to get in and out of Ruddington are being advised to use an alternative route for the next few days. Dutton’s Hill Closed Again

Unfortunately there are several sets of highway works liable to cause inconvenience and delays for Ruddington motorists during July. These include the total closure of Dutton’s Hill again over the next two Sundays for more gas work. Although these ‘Prohibition of Driving’ notices on that section of Wilford Road should not impinge on weekday traffic this time, drivers cutting through the estate to avoid a longer diversionary route are liable to result in further frustration for home owners along St John’s Road and St Mary’s Crescent in particular. Water connection…
