Organisers of the first ever ‘RUDD Awards’ have just announced the 18 finalists – individuals, businesses and community groups from the village who’ve been shortlisted from over 300 nominations. The inaugural ‘RUDD Awards’ were launched in July 2022 by RVCP, Ruddington Village Community Partnership, to celebrate locals who’re making a difference to life in Ruddington, as well as contributing to a thriving ‘community hub and prosperous high street’. Ruddington Nature Pioneer Receives Recognition

The driving force behind a Ruddington nature reserve is among the winners of this year’s ‘Celebrating Rushcliffe Awards’. For 2021 a ‘physical’ ceremony returned – and was held last night (December 8th) at The Rushcliffe Arena. After the success of the inaugural competition last year, Ruddington’s representative in Parliament has launched her “Best Local Shop Awards 2021”. The initiative, from Rushcliffe MP Ruth Edwards, aims to highlights small, independent and local shops in her constituency, and what makes them special – whether it be their entrepreneurial spirit, their innovation, or their impact on the local community.
