When Ruddington’s The Bottle Top celebrated its first year of trading on 10th May 2020 it was during unprecedented times – in the middle of a nationwide ‘lockdown’ caused by the Coronavirus pandemic. As an ‘essential’ business, permitted to remain open by the Government, owners Anthony and Alex Preston decided they would do so. Bottle Top Christmas Tap Takeovers

There’s a special treat for beer lovers over this festive season – as Ruddington’s craft beer and eco-shop becomes a specialist ale ‘bar’ at weekends throughout December. The Next Episode Begins…

Ruddington can once again boast a trendy drinking venue – now a new bar called The Next Episode has opened its doors in our village. But it’s rather MORE than a bar, since it’s been launched by The Ruddy Good Pub Company – alias Mark and Sarah Anderson from The Ruddington Arms. This is now the third outlet in their expanding hospitality empire – after they relaunched The White Lion at Bingham in 2017. Ruddington is welcoming another unique, local business to the village centre – with the arrival of The Bottle Top this Friday, May 10th. You’ll find it at 2, High Street in the premises previously occupied by the legendary Thomas’s Greengrocers for over sixty years before its sad and sudden closure last year.
