A Feast of Free Trees!

For the past six years, Ruddington residents have been offered the chance to make our properties greener by applying for ‘free trees’ from Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC). Over 10,000 trees have been distributed since the start of this campaign in 2018. In previous years the authority has given villagers an option of TWO trees to apply for. Further Disruptive Ruddington Roadworks Announced

The patience of Ruddington’s long-suffering motorists is to be tested yet again between now and next Easter with a raft of different highway works taking place in our village. The most significant ones, liable to cause the biggest delays, are associated with the long-awaited junction layout improvements at the Kirk Lane/Loughborough Road/Flawforth Lane traffic lights*. Ruddington’s Summer Roadworks

Whilst our schools are out for the big holiday it’s hoped less traffic will mean fewer delays for Ruddington’s long-suffering motorists. However, there are some scheduled roadworks going on which will inevitably still cause inconvenience and longer journey times. First up, St John’s Road (pictured above) – a popular Ruddington shortcut – is closed to traffic from July 24th to 28th for National Grid work (as shown below), therefore motorists from Wilford Road will need to travel via the village centre to get into the estate or out onto Loughborough Road, and vice-versa.*…

House Prices STILL Rising Despite Economic Outlook
