Rushcliffe Borough Council is promising even more focus on tackling the nuisance of fly-tipping, waste offences, littering and dog fouling in 2021, thanks to a new partnership. The authority has revealed it’s teamed up with Waste Investigations Support & Enforcement (WISE) for a one-year trial to build on its existing tools to find and, where necessary, prosecute those who flout the rules. Even though the whole of England has been put back under ‘lockdown’ to combat a new surge of COVID-19 infections, our village’s main bus operator says this will not alter the existing schedules of either its Navy 3 or Green 10 services for the time being. With our schools now unexpectedly closed again, Nottingham City Transport (NCT) says the only buses which will not run are those specifically to accommodate extra travelling schoolchildren – such as the term time Navy 3 15:30 weekday service from Wilford Lane (ROKO) to the City. It’s not very frequently we get snow within the ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ in our part of the East Midlands. However, villagers awoke to the first significant snowfall of the winter this morning – much to the delight of our younger residents. WALK #4 – Ruddington to Bradmore – and back

Every year shoppers at our village Co-op help to provide much needed cash for three local good causes via their ‘Local Community Fund’. During the last funding year, the Ruddington branch handed out a total of £11,458.25 to local projects in need via ‘The Big Co-op Payout’ – split between Ruddington District Girl Guiding, NG11 Foodbank and Together@Clifton. Final Neighbourhood Plan Consultation Launched

Since our Ruddington Village Plan was published in the summer of 2017 another hard working group of volunteers has been taking things a stage further with a Ruddington Neighbourhood Plan (RNP) to give our local community additional influence on how the village should grow and develop in the future. Ruddington’s First Multi-Storey Car Park Opens

It was just over two years’ ago when RUDDINGTON.info reported plans to build a four-storey car park at Ruddington Fields Business Park. After a slight redesign during the planning approval process, it has now been officially opened. However, this parking is not for public use, but for staff and visitors to the headquarters of MHR Global – the Ruddington based HR, payroll and analytics provider.
