Ruddington Buses During the Third ‘Lockdown’

Even though the whole of England has been put back under ‘lockdown’ to combat a new surge of COVID-19 infections, our village’s main bus operator says this will not alter the existing schedules of either its Navy 3 or Green 10 services for the time being. With our schools now unexpectedly closed again, Nottingham City Transport (NCT) says the only buses which will not run are those specifically to accommodate extra travelling schoolchildren – such as the term time Navy 3 15:30 weekday service from Wilford Lane (ROKO) to the City. NCT hopes that, by otherwise maintaining its current…

Ruddington Buses Under Tier 4

Following the announcement that Ruddington will be put into England’s ‘new’ highest level of COVID-19 restrictions to start 2021, our village’s main bus operator says the latest change will not alter the existing schedules of either its Navy 3 or Green 10 services. Nottingham City Transport (NCT) hopes that, by maintaining its current service levels under Tier 4, buses will continue to be less busy to enable better social distancing (and therefore safer travel) as we head back to work.* NCT says: “Nottingham and Nottinghamshire moving to Tier 4 restrictions from Thursday 31st December 2020 has…

Ruddington Buses’ Return to Tier 3

Following the second national ‘lockdown’ in England, Ruddington’s main bus operator says the return to a slightly less stringent set of Tier 3 COVID-19 restrictions this December will not alter the existing schedules of either its Navy 3 and Green 10 village services.* It’s hoped that Nottingham City Transport (NCT) maintaining its current service levels will mean emptier buses – for improved social distancing and therefore safer travel up to the festive holidays. NCT has also announced its special schedules over Christmas and the New Year. You can find out specifically how Ruddington’s…

Ruddington’s Buses During Second ‘Lockdown’

As we come under a second national ‘lockdown’ in England, Ruddington’s main bus operator says – this time around – both its Navy 3 and Green 10 village services will continue to run to their usual schedules. Back in March, when the original raft of COVID-19 instructions asked us to avoid all travel and stay at home during the Coronavirus pandemic, Nottingham City Transport reduced all its timetables to just ‘core services’ for essential workers. However this time, from November 5th 2020 the operator says it is continuing to operate all its advertised services…

24 More Hours ‘Til Tier 3

It’s been announced that Ruddington will now enter the highest category of COVID-19 restrictions a day later than originally planned. The short delay to towns and villages in the Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) area moving from Tier 2 into Tier 3 is due to Nottinghamshire County Council and our eight other local authorities deciding that the alarming recent rise in Coronavirus cases means that all areas should now face the toughest measures. Following further discussions between the Government and Council Leaders, all have agreed the City of Nottingham and the entire County…

Ruddington’s Buses Under Tier 3

Our main village bus provider says normal service will continue on its Navy 3 and Green 10 buses despite Rushcliffe and the City of Nottingham being moved into the highest Government level of Coronavirus restrictions this week. From one minute past midnight on Thursday 29th October 2020, when Ruddington comes under Tier 3 COVID-19 rules, Nottingham City Transport advises that people can continue to travel to venues and amenities which are open – such as work, education and retail.  Therefore the company does not intend to make any changes to service…

Whether you’re a regular commuter, planning a shopping trip to the city or heading to Ruddington for a #RuddyGoodDayOut, our village’s main public transport provider is reassuring passengers that its Navy 3 and Green 10 buses are clean, safe and ‘good to go’! We reported back in July that Nottingham City Transport (NCT) has achieved Visit Britain’s official industry standard, which confirms that it is following industry and Government guidance on COVID-19, social distancing and cleanliness. The Department for Transport (DfT) has just updated its Safer Travel Guidance for Passengers and NCT…

Welcome Back on the Buses!

After the Prime Minister’s announcement this morning (17th July 2020), about using public transport for all journeys, Nottingham City Transport (NCT) says it looks forward to welcoming us back on board. As COVID-19 Coronavirus restrictions continue to be eased, Boris Johnson has said it’s now okay to catch a bus for any journey, not just for essential travel. With both Ruddington’s Navy 3 and Green 10 services now back to a full timetable that means a leisure trip by bus for a #RuddyGoodDayOut is back on the agenda! However, passengers…
