Country Park Encampment Ban Secured for Three Years

Rushcliffe Borough Council has announced that its temporary ban on unauthorised encampments in Ruddington’s Country Park – and at four other key sites it owns – has been made permanent for three years. The authority presented a case before Nottinghamshire County Court yesterday (September 23rd) prohibiting encampments being established at Rushcliffe Country Park – along with Rushcliffe Arena, Gresham Park, The Hook and West Park in West Bridgford – until September 2022. Rushcliffe Borough Council has announced that ‘unauthorised encampments’ are now banned at Ruddington’s Country Park after it successfully secured a court injunction, with power of arrest, to prevent camps being set up at some of its strategic locations. Motorists who leave their cars down Asher Lane whilst visiting Rushcliffe Country Park are being warned about a spate of recent vehicle break-ins there. There’s an October update below*. Green 10 Timetable Changes

Passengers who catch Nottingham City Transport’s Green 10/10C/10X service to and from Ruddington should note there will be some revisions to its timetable starting on Sunday September 1st. Our main bus operator is advising villagers, commuters and visitors that buses between Ruddington and Greythorn Drive Top towards the City are being retimed to run slightly earlier.
