Ruddington businesses are helping families to get into the Hallowe’en mood this weekend with their very own ‘Trick or Treat’ trail around our village centre. Ruddington Co-op Reveals Latest ‘Good Causes’

The three beneficiaries of this year’s ‘Local Community Fund’ – courtesy of shoppers at the Ruddington Co-op – have been announced. This time two of the organisations are based in our village and the third over in Clifton. Ruddington’s New ‘Green’ Buses on Schedule

Back in March we reported the announcement by Ruddington’s main bus operator that its entire fleet of 78 single decker buses will be fully electrified from 2023. This includes replacing the three diesel-powered Navy 3 branded ‘Optare Solo’ buses which Nottingham City Transport (NCT) currently uses for its Nottingham to Clifton route via Ruddington. The operator has just announced that Pelican Bus & Coach will deliver the first 12 of the fully electric buses to join the NCT fleet, which are expected to enter service in late 2023. £8k Funding for Improved Museum Shop

Staff and volunteers at Ruddington’s historic Framework Knitters’ Museum are celebrating the award of new cash to upgrade their newly established café and shop. ‘Parker’s Yard’ was added late last year when the museum site expanded into the former ‘Gun Cottage’ – between the original workers’ cottages and frameshops and the old Knitters’ Chapel. Ruddington Man Hospitalised By Reported Assault

Police investigations are continuing after an incident last night in our village which left a man needing hospital treatment. Emergency services were called to an address in Leys Court, Ruddington, at 9.21pm yesterday evening (Wednesday 12th October) after reports of an assault. Police tell us that the victim, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital, where he remains. However, his injures are not believed to be life threatening. Refurbished Ruddington Visitor Centre & Café Opens

The major work which started in January to upgrade the lakeside Education Centre and its associated facilities in Rushcliffe Country Park is now complete.
