It’s hoped Ruddington’s roads might benefit from a central Government boost to local maintenance funds to speed up much needed pothole repairs. Nottinghamshire County Council has announced it has been awarded £8.28million specifically for fixing road craters in Nottinghamshire as part of the Department for Transport’s £2.5billion ‘Pothole Fund’. Villagers are up in arms about the large number of motorists flouting a current four-day road closure in Ruddington.
