Stay Safe in our Play Areas this Christmas

Since our Ruddington Village Plan was published in the summer of 2017 another hard working group of volunteers has been taking things a stage further with a Ruddington Neighbourhood Plan (RNP) to give our local community additional influence on how the village should grow and develop in the future. Grab a Tree for Free!

Ruddington residents and groups can make their properties and communities even greener by applying for FREE trees for a third year running. It’s part of a continuing strategy by Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) to provide ‘sustainable environments’ – as villagers brace ourselves for significant housing growth in the next decade. Campaigners fear their hopes for a designated cycleway from Ruddington to Rushcliffe School may have been dashed by the failure of the County Council to secure over £300,000 of cash earmarked for such schemes. Car Parking Charges Return at Country Park

After six weeks of visitors being able to enjoy FREE parking since the partial reopening of Ruddington’s country park facilities to visitors, Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) has announced its charges will resume soon. With the further, recent Government easing of COVID-19 Coronavirus restrictions, from Monday June 29th, the pay-and-display rate of £1 per day will be reintroduced – allowing a maximum 8 hour stay. Ruddington COVID-19 Volunteers Recognised

Country Park Partial Reopening

As Government ‘lockdown’ restrictions are eased a little, Rushcliffe Borough Council has announced the reopening of some car parks at its open spaces, tennis courts and skate parks.
