Three Arrested After Ruddington Fight

Three men have been arrested after police officers attended a report of a fight in Ruddington. Two men, aged 42 and 46, and two women, aged 42 and 39, were taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre with injuries. The 42-year-old man suffered a fractured jaw, cheekbone and eye socket in the assault in Easthorpe Street at around 11.55pm yesterday (Friday 29th March). A police helicopter was deployed in the skies of Ruddington yesterday evening – to assist officers tracking a vehicle being driven at break-neck speed through our village. Individuals who allegedly fly-tipped fridges on the A52 near Wheatcroft Island have had their vehicle seized by Rushcliffe Borough Council officers and Nottinghamshire Police. Frustration is growing that the illegal dumping of waste seems to be continuing unabated around our village despite Council and Police efforts to thwart the criminals who’re doing it.
