Ruddington’s NCT Buses to Resume Normal Service Soon

Nottingham City Transport has set a date of Sunday June 28th to return to normal timetables on most of its buses – following this unprecedented period when only ‘core’ services are running due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus ‘lockdown’. Auto Crime Dominates Ruddington Offences

New figures just released show that vehicle crime was again the most prevalent problem in our village during May 2020 – even though the total number of offences logged by Rushcliffe Police was lower than the month before. Just ten Ruddington incidents were reported to local officers during the whole of May – compared with thirteen in April. Will Tips Reopening Reduce This Fly-Tipping Menace?

It’s hoped eyesore scenes like these over the weekend in Ruddington will become less frequent once all Nottinghamshire County Council recycling centres reopen for residents – then businesses – over the next eight days. This latest fly-tip (top) of a mattress and other household waste was captured on camera by local photographer Paul Witney along Asher Lane. Extra Buses on NCT’s Core Services

Nottingham City Transport is running additional bus services from Sunday May 31st 2020 to provide extra capacity for potential increases in demand – as more people return to work and current government restrictions are gradually lifted.
