A new government funded scheme which is aiming to help hospitality businesses attract trade back after COVID-19 closure is launched this week – and will run every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday throughout August. Ruddington Village Centre Partnership (RVCP) facilitated the official launch at their High Street stall during Ruddington’s 2018 Christmas Fayre – handing out their Loyalty Cards along with the new ‘Ruddy Good Day Out’ booklets to passers-by. Ruddington’s 2016 Christmas Fayre held on Saturday the 3rd of December has been hailed another success by most of the visitors and village businesses involved. Organised by Ruddington Parish Council, it involved the closure of High Street throughout the day to accommodate numerous undercover street stalls in two large marquees, food and drink sellers, Keyworth & Ruddington Rotary‘s Father Christmas in his sleigh and even an MC! Perhaps so far only Mathew’s Café & Deli regulars have spotted the new face in charge at 24D High Street? But soon the popular Ruddington venue will also have a striking new name and an updated menu. Cheaper Ruddington bus travel for 16 & 17 year olds!

Ruddington’s main bus operator has announced that passengers aged 16 and 17 will shortly be able to take advantage of lower fares. This comes as the age threshold for adult rates on Nottingham City Transport increases from 16 to 18 this weekend.
