With all the excitement of the King’s Coronation, and its associated events here in Ruddington, plus ‘The Big Sing’, it might have escaped your attention that Ruddington’s famous annual beer and cider festival is ALSO happening this month? ‘Ruddfest 2023’ runs from Thursday 25th May until Sunday 28th May – just before the Spring Bank Holiday. The first-ever ‘Rudd Award’ winners were announced at a special ceremony at St Peter’s Church last night {Friday 18th November}, with a raft of Ruddington favourites celebrated for their contribution to the local community. Organisers of the first ever ‘RUDD Awards’ have just announced the 18 finalists – individuals, businesses and community groups from the village who’ve been shortlisted from over 300 nominations. The inaugural ‘RUDD Awards’ were launched in July 2022 by RVCP, Ruddington Village Community Partnership, to celebrate locals who’re making a difference to life in Ruddington, as well as contributing to a thriving ‘community hub and prosperous high street’.
