Man Arrested and Stolen Ruddington Car Recovered

A man has been arrested after police spotted and followed a car which was suspected of being stolen. Officers from Nottinghamshire Police’s operational support unit noticed that a Vauxhall Astra, which was travelling in the Clifton area during the early hours of yesterday (Saturday 1 October 2022), was displaying false number plates. The driver then tried to evade police and failed to stop. A short time later the car came to a halt in Village Road and a man was detained. Police checks revealed the vehicle had been stolen from Ruddington in August.…

Eagle-eyed residents may have spotted local Neighbourhood Policing Team officers conducting ‘Speed Gun’ operations in Ruddington this morning. The speed checks follow a meeting last week at the Ruddington Arms organised by our MP Ruth Edwards with Rushcliffe Police Inspector Rob Lawton and Ruddington Beat Officer PC Kai Kemish. Just hours after the long awaited resurfacing work began on Camelot Street this morning, contractors called a halt and went home – citing dangerous behaviour and abuse from some motorists. Flawforth Lane Closed After Diesel Spill

Motorists are unable to use Flawforth Lane in and out of Ruddington today following an incident just after midnight at the A52/A606 Wheatcroft Roundabout. Highways England said it was “due to an extensive diesel spillage.
