Excitement is mounting amongst younger children from our village (and beyond) that Rushcliffe Junior Parkrun will be back from Sunday April 11th at 9.00am! The usually weekly event in Ruddington’s Country Park has been cancelled for just over a year due to the Coronavirus pandemic – which, of course, led to Government restrictions on large gatherings. However, the green light has just been given to restart Parkrun for four to ten year-olds. Saturday April 3rd sees the return of our much loved Ruddington Village Market on The Green. After a three month hiatus, the market is back on Easter Saturday with 40 essential traders selling food and drinks in line with current lockdown guidelines. Wendy’s Walkers’ Mighty Hike for Charity

Staff from a Ruddington pharmacy are prescribing themselves fresh air and exercise this summer as they fundraise for a leading cancer charity. N.B. This walk has now been postponed due to continuing Coronavirus restrictions and will be rescheduled for July 2022. Five employees from Evans Pharmacy on Charles Street are taking part in the ‘Peak District Mighty Hike 2021’ on Saturday July 24th. One of our village’s main tourist attractions has announced it will begin to re-open some areas of its Mere Way site just after the Easter holidays. RuddFest is Postponed Again

It’s been revealed that Ruddington’s much loved annual Beer and Cider Festival – which usually attracts thousands of visitors – will not be taking place this June as planned, due to continuing concerns about COVID-19.
