Ruddington businesses are helping families to get into the Hallowe’en mood this weekend with their very own ‘Trick or Treat’ trail around our village centre. The Tour of Britain is Here!

The fifth stage of The ‘Tour of Britain’ national cycling race is now just days away, with cycling fans, residents and businesses preparing to see this sporting spectacle as it returns to Ruddington on Thursday 8th September. As four years’ ago, villagers and visitors will be able to line our streets to witness over one hundred of the world’s best riders speeding through, close to the start of the 118 mile route from West Bridgford to Mansfield. Organisers of the very first ‘Rudd Awards’ have revealed that over 300 nominations were received – as villagers and visitors put forward their favourite Ruddington individuals, businesses and community groups for consideration across the six main categories. Kids’ Holiday Reading Challenge

With our ‘schools out for summer’, village children aged 4 to 11 are now being invited to get involved with this year’s ‘Summer Reading Challenge’ at Ruddington Library.
