Police Appeal After Ruddington Trailer Theft

Nottinghamshire Police have launched an appeal for information following the theft of a trailer in Ruddington on Wednesday. A 2003 registered black and silver two tone Mitsubishi L200 Animal pick-up – similar to the vehicle shown below – was spotted stealing the trailer from a building site at Loughborough Road on Wednesday March 11th at around 6.00pm. ‘Factory Flyover’ Continues Railway ‘Reunification’

Volunteers from Ruddington’s heritage railway are celebrating reaching another milestone in its ‘reunification’ project to create an 18 mile train line all the way between our village and Birstall on the outskirts of Leicester. The tracks comprising Ruddington’s Great Central Railway – Nottingham (GCRN) and Loughborough’s Great Central Railway (GCR) are set to be rejoined once the 500 metre gap in the middle is bridged – meaning services will then be able to run between the two for the first time since 1969. Ear Foundation To Close

After over 30 years of helping to transform deaf people’s lives, and providing opportunities for people with hearing loss, The Ear Foundation has announced that sadly it will be closing this Friday. The charitable organisation is well known in Ruddington for running free walk-in hearing aid clinics each month at St Peter’s Rooms – where it’s long provided hearing aid maintenance, advice and support within our village to NHS hearing aid users. Work to replace the mobile telecommunications mast on Wilford Road – which was originally scheduled to take place almost a month ago – is now set to happen this week. Police Appeal Following Ruddington Distraction Burglary

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following a distraction burglary in our village. It’s after a man targeted a vulnerable woman on Dunblane Road in Ruddington and stole money from her. The incident happened on Wednesday (26 February 2020) at around 6.45pm.
