Detectives are appealing for witnesses following what appeared to be two back-to-back incidents in Ruddington Village Centre last week. Customers and staff at Ruddington Fish Bar watched in some bemusement as the first early evening fracas unfolded on Thursday (3rd February) at just after 6pm. Latest Village Figures Revealed

As Ruddington heads into the festive season, Rushcliffe Police have released their latest monthly statistics showing that reported crime here more than doubled in a month. Whilst only four crimes were listed during October, new November statistics show nine separate offences in our village which were reported to officers online or via 101. However, this is still significantly lower than in some previous months, and none of the offences was very serious. Ruddington crime figures for last month just revealed by Rushcliffe Police show a spike in thefts, burglaries and items stolen from motor vehicles in our village – though without any criminal damage recorded this time around. As previously reported, the summer ‘crime wave’ prompted local officers to increase patrols in Ruddington. It seems the various building sites around Ruddington at the moment are presenting new opportunities for criminals. The latest village crime statistics just released by Rushcliffe Police show that, last month, Linden Homes’ ‘Blacksmith’s Green’ development was targeted again by thieves – who this time managed to get away with thousands of pounds worth of scaffolding from its construction site. Rushcliffe Police are reassuring householders they’ve increased their presence in Ruddington in the wake of a spate of criminal activity during the night in our village. Officers confirm several recent incidents this week – concerning interference with vehicles and burglary – mainly between 1.00am and 3.00am. Thefts From Cars and Burglaries Increase Village Crime Rate

After a post-lockdown ‘spike’ in April, then a ‘quieter’ month in May, June again saw an increase in Ruddington crimes reported to Rushcliffe Police. Statistics just released show there were fifteen incidents logged by officers for our village during last month – which is 50% more than in the month before. Police Appeal After Ruddington Trailer Theft

Nottinghamshire Police have launched an appeal for information following the theft of a trailer in Ruddington on Wednesday. A 2003 registered black and silver two tone Mitsubishi L200 Animal pick-up – similar to the vehicle shown below – was spotted stealing the trailer from a building site at Loughborough Road on Wednesday March 11th at around 6.00pm. The same vehicle was also seen the day before at about 2.45pm in East Leake attempting to steal a caravan from Manor Farm Meadow.
