Whilst construction continues apace on Bloor Homes’ 167 property ‘Fairham Green’ development, residents in the Grange Farm area have discovered the house-builder is already eyeing up its next Green Belt site further along Wilford Road. To ensure our household waste gets collected this week, Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) is advising us we’ll need to get our grey bins out an hour earlier than usual. Ruddington’s refuse collections this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (August 10th to 12th) will begin at 6am, instead of their usual 7am start time; to reduce RBC’s waste team’s exposure to the forecast, extreme weather conditions. With concerns about our warming climate brought into sharp focus this week by record-breaking temperatures, eco-conscious Ruddingtonians may be pleased to hear that we can now apply for more FREE trees this summer. For the fifth year running, Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) is offering residents the chance to make our properties greener without charge. Special School Plans Approved

The wheels are now in motion for a Grade 2 listing building here in Ruddington to begin a new chapter in its history – after planning permission for a ‘special school’ there was granted by Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC). As RUDDINGTON.info reported in April, an application was submitted by Polaris Children’s Services to turn ‘Easthorpe House’ at 165, Loughborough Road into a school for pupils with special educational needs.
