Organisers of last weekend’s ‘Ruddington Open Gardens’ have revealed it was another great success – securing well over £6,000 to split between their two chosen kids’ charities. ‘Open Gardens’ Countdown Begins

The organisers of a popular, village weekend – which takes place only every other year – say programmes for this summer’s event are now on sale. Ruddington Open Gardens 2024 is being held on Saturday and Sunday 1st and 2nd June from 2pm until 6pm. After returning post-pandemic in 2022, it’s been confirmed the (usually) biennial ‘Ruddington Open Gardens’ event is being staged again this summer. In fact, planning is already underway for Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June 2024, when gardens and allotments in our village will be opening in aid of two charities from 2.00pm to 6.00pm on both days. After all the excitement of Ruddington’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations at the beginning of June, there’s another, big weekend event taking place all over our village at the start of next month. ‘Ruddington Open Gardens’ 2024 Weekend

The biennial charity event returns! Ruddington Open Gardens 2024 is on Saturday and Sunday 1st and 2nd June from 2pm until 6pm – so make sure you’ve got your ticket. You can visit around a dozen gardens, as well as allotments and other green spaces, around the village. Live music is planned on both afternoons at Ruddington Methodist Church where there’ll be games and you can also purchase plants to preserves, see Art and flower demos and more.  This year, youngsters can enter a mini garden competition and go on the free children’s trail. Community Choir Celebrates Ten Years

It may seem like only yesterday that @RUDDINGTON_info Tweeted out an invitation to join a brand new village choir – but it was actually way back in February 2012!  This month is the tenth anniversary of Ruddington Community Choir‘s very first workshop. The lovely, musical milestone was celebrated by its current members this week during their usual Tuesday evening rehearsal at Ruddington Methodist Church. Open Gardens Raises over £2K for Children’s Charities

Organisers are celebrating the success of last weekend’s “Ruddington Open Gardens” – after the final tally revealed that £2280 was raised for kids’ charities! This total will be split between Save the Children and Action for Children.
