Diversions for Navy 3 to Clifton

If you use Nottingham City Transport‘s Navy 3 bus to get to or from Clifton – or the N48 NightBus back to Ruddington at weekends – you’ll find yourself diverted for the next four or five weeks due to roadworks. From 8.00am to 5.30pm each day, starting on Monday 29th July, Green Lane in Clifton will be closed between Southchurch Drive and Clifton Lane. It’s to install a new raised zebra crossing outside Glapton Academy and reposition and replace speed cushions there with with round top road humps that are said…

Evening Disruption for Ruddington Bound Buses

Nottingham City Transport is advising passengers of changes to its Green 10 service for almost three weeks whilst Nottinghamshire County Council carries out resurfacing work on part of the A60 – including Trent Bridge and Loughborough Road. This work will mean the closure of that part of the A60 to all traffic and, as a result, its Navy and Green line services will need to be diverted from Monday 15th July 2019 until Thursday 1st August inclusive between 7.00pm and 5.00am each night. Ruddington’s Green 10 will follow its normal route along Meadows…

Have a #RuddyGood Clean Air Day!

It’s Clean Air Day this Thursday the 20th June – when we’re encouraged to find out more about air pollution, share information with friends and colleagues, and help make the atmosphere cleaner and healthier for everyone. If you can walk or cycle to work or school that’s the cleanest way of all. Otherwise travelling by bus is one of the most environmentally friendly ways to go – especially now that Ruddington’s Nottingham City Transport (NCT) services are greener than ever. New Green 10 Bio-Gas buses were introduced in our village almost…

Revised Fares on NCT Buses

Passengers who use Ruddington’s Navy 3 or Green 10 services will generally be paying a little more for their journeys from the end of this month. Nottingham City Transport has announced it will be increasing some bus fares from Sunday March 31st. The company points out it is the first rise in its prices for a year (the last increase was on March 25th 2018) but says they are necessary to cover above inflationary increases in operating costs – as well as to allow investment over the next 12 months in…

Green 10 Diverted This Week

Passengers using Nottingham City Transport’s Green 10 service off-peak this week will find themselves diverted – and perhaps not able to catch their bus to or from the regular stop – due to resurfacing work on its route. From Monday 11th until Monday 18th February, each night between 18:00-06:00, Loughborough Road (between the Nottingham Knight Island and Boundary Road) and part of Boundary Road is being closed. Ironically, the resulting “circular” diversion will see off-peak buses running from Ruddington village centre down Wilford Road – a route which lost its…

Three Golds for Nottingham City Transport!

Ruddington’s main public transport operator is celebrating yet again – after receiving no less than THREE “Gold” UK Bus Awards, including the ‘Environment Award’. Of course, the benefits of ‘Green NCT – Home of the World’s Largest Fleet of Bio-Gas Double Deckers’ have been felt directly in our village – since Nottingham City Transport (NCT) replaced all our Green 10 buses with these brand new, environmentally friendly vehicles last year. They use fuel produced from waste through anaerobic digestion. These buses prevent harmful pollutants being emitted into the atmosphere from landfill and have an almost neutral well-to-wheel…

Positive Reception for New Loyalty Card
