Rushcliffe Police have just released their Ruddington crime statistics for last month. The figures show that only eight incidents were reported to them from our village via 101 and online from 1st March to 31st March 2022. Two of our new housing developments were targeted again, in addition to thefts from unattended vehicles, a business burglary and drivers failing to pay for their fuel at Ruddington’s filling station. Crime prevention is the key message from Rushcliffe South Neighbourhood Policing Team this month – following the release of their latest list of reported incidents in our village during February. Reported Crime Continues to Rise

The latest figures from Rushcliffe Police show there was another increase in incidents recorded by officers in Ruddington last month. Whilst numbers are still relatively low, there were 33% more offences logged for our village in December 2021 than the month before. Perhaps the most concerning involves a 12 year old child reportedly being bitten by “a large grey dog” on Vicarage Park – with police still trying to trace this potentially dangerous animal and its owner. More Smashed Windows As Latest Crime Stats Revealed

A relatively quiet month for reported crime in Ruddington ended disappointingly when more windows were smashed in our village centre during Hallowe’en night ‘celebrations’. The damage (above) to Gino’s Ristorante on Sunday October 31st was reported the following day – with owner Guglielmo Frederico ‘Fred’ Formosa giving his CCTV footage of the incident to Police, who are now investigating. The latest Ruddington crime figures, just released by Rushcliffe Police, reveal that thieves have struck again at a Ruddington building site – for a THIRD time! In the early hours of 10th September 2021, criminals got away with a three tonne digger from the Linden Homes ‘Blacksmith’s Green’ development. Crime in Ruddington is the focus of a short new survey which is dropping through residents’ letterboxes this week. It’s been produced on behalf of Rushcliffe MP Ruth Edwards following a spike of crime here over the summer months. New statistics just published by Nottinghamshire Police indicate the number of reported incidents of ‘antisocial behaviour’ in our village shot up by 132 per cent during the Coronavirus pandemic. Rushcliffe Police say Saturday’s easing of ‘lockdown’ restrictions – meaning Ruddington’s numerous pubs and other hospitality venues could reopen their premises – did not create any major issues for its officers. Cannabis Crop Was July’s Crime Coup

Rushcliffe Police have revealed they seized 147 cannabis plants of different sizes and stages of cultivation during their early morning raid on a house in Asher Lane last month. It was after receiving tip-offs from the local community around suspicious, drugs related activity at the Ruddington address.
