Solar Farm Approved

After years of planning, then two public consultation events in our village in March last year, followed by a detailed submission to Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) twelve months’ later, proposals for a large ‘hybrid renewable energy project’ on agricultural land south west of Ruddington have now been approved. On Monday (2nd October 2023) RBC planners gave the go-ahead for Ridge Clean Energy (RCE) to construct ‘Fair Oaks Renewable Energy Park’ at Fields Farm off Asher Lane. ‘Framework Church’ Launches

A less ‘formal’ form of churchgoing is now available in Ruddington thanks to a new initiative hosted at The Framework Knitters’ Museum. Held on alternate Thursdays from 11am in the Old Methodist Chapel, off Parker’s Yard, organisers say everyone’s invited to ‘Framework Church’. Organisers of Ruddington’s biennial ‘Teddy Bear Parachute Jump’ – which took place at St Peter’s Church over the weekend – have hailed their event another success. A Feast of Free Trees!

For the past six years, Ruddington residents have been offered the chance to make our properties greener by applying for ‘free trees’ from Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC). Over 10,000 trees have been distributed since the start of this campaign in 2018. In previous years the authority has given villagers an option of TWO trees to apply for. Creating A Warm Welcome At Lace Fields

Nottinghamshire mum Lindsey Taylor is helping to build a welcoming community at William Davis Homes’ Lace Fields development here in Ruddington.
