School Cycling Route Plans in Jeopardy

Campaigners fear their hopes for a designated cycleway from Ruddington to Rushcliffe School may have been dashed by the failure of the County Council to secure over £300,000 of cash earmarked for such schemes. Village Market on The Green Hailed a Huge Success

This weekend Ruddington Village Market returned after a four month physical absence, and it was a huge success – with organisers, traders and visitors doing an outstanding job of relaunching as a ‘socially distanced’ market in its new location on the village green. A clear-up operation is underway following more mindless vandalism in our village – this time causing serious environmental pollution at a farm south of Rushcliffe Country Park. Car Parking Charges Return at Country Park

After six weeks of visitors being able to enjoy FREE parking since the partial reopening of Ruddington’s country park facilities to visitors, Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) has announced its charges will resume soon. With the further, recent Government easing of COVID-19 Coronavirus restrictions, from Monday June 29th, the pay-and-display rate of £1 per day will be reintroduced – allowing a maximum 8 hour stay. Ruddington’s popular, monthly market will be back this July – after being suspended for the past three months due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak. Extra Buses on NCT’s Core Services

Nottingham City Transport is running additional bus services from Sunday May 31st 2020 to provide extra capacity for potential increases in demand – as more people return to work and current government restrictions are gradually lifted.
