Car Crashes Into Manor Park Gates After Police Chase

A Police pursuit through Ruddington this afternoon ended up with the car the officers were following colliding with the gateway at the Churchill Drive end of Manor Park. It would seem the driver was unaware he would come across a closed gate – which brought the vehicle to an abrupt halt.  Eye witnesses saw one person from the crashed car being detained at the scene but another running off. New Police Warning About Thefts from Vehicles

Although May was another relatively quiet month for crime in Ruddington, many of the incidents investigated by officers were again thefts from motor vehicles parked in residential areas of our village. These accounted for nearly half the offences reported. Police are reminding people not to leave valuables in unattended cars and vans, particularly overnight. Arrest in Connection with Ruddington Burglary and Car Thefts

Nottinghamshire Police report they have today arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with a series of car key burglaries and vehicle thefts. The incidents include a Ford CMax which was stolen in a burglary at a house on Packman Drive here in Ruddington at around 5.30am on Saturday 27th April. It was found burnt out in Oakthorpe, Leicestershire, at 9.20am. Arrests Made After Railway Vandalism

Nottinghamshire Police say they have arrested two boys in connection with the criminal damage at Ruddington’s Great Central Railway site on Monday (29th April). Volunteers at our village heritage centre have estimated that the attack – reportedly involving around half a dozen young people who smashed a total of 112 windows on various items of coaching stock and two diesel railcars – will cost around £80,000 to repair. Two men have been arrested in connection with a car key burglary in Ruddington. Nottinghamshire Police say: “We received a report, at 6.12pm yesterday (Wednesday 24 April 2019), that a house had been broken into in Ling Crescent and the victim’s car had been stolen.
