After successfully trialling the idea a couple of months’ ago, organisers of a new initiative in Ruddington for people living with memory loss (and their carers) is set to be held here every two months. The ‘Rushcliffe Green Memory Café’ will continue to take place in and around the newly refurbished Visitor Centre by the lake in Rushcliffe Country Park – with the next one happening this Wednesday 16th August. A Joyful Night for Ruddington!

It’s been a great year for our village at the ‘Celebrating Rushcliffe Awards’ – with two winners from Ruddington and a total of four shortlisted . Organised by Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC), each year these awards celebrate the area’s most dedicated volunteers, businesses, organisations and environmentalists. as well as the best of its health and wellbeing, sport and food and drink sectors. 2023 ‘Celebrating Rushcliffe Awards’ Nominees Announced

Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) has revealed volunteers from Ruddington are up for gongs in two different categories during next month’s ‘Celebrating Rushcliffe Awards’ alongside a singer and keyboard player who runs frequent health and wellbeing music sessions here and a young, Ruddington sportswoman. The annual ceremony celebrates the best of the Borough’s health & wellbeing and food & drink sectors, volunteers, environmentalists, clubs and organisations alongside other local businesses and enterprises. Over 30 groups and individuals have been shortlisted for this year’s awards.
