A popular Ruddington pub has shut temporarily after a member of its staff tested positive for COVID-19 this morning (Sunday 11th October). A statement has been issued by The Victoria Tavern, on Wilford Road, which says: “We have, therefore, decided to close today in order to take an opportunity to deep clean all areas. ‘Fiver Fest’ Returns to Ruddington

Once again traders in Ruddington are joining in with ‘The Totally Locally Fiver Fest’. One Way? No Way!

Plans drawn up by Via East Midlands to implement a temporary one-way system in Ruddington village centre, with the aim of improving traffic flow and providing extra parking, have been rejected by Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC). Hospice Shop Reopens

A popular Ruddington charity shop is finally back in business again – over sixth months after having to close its doors due to the Spring Coronavirus ‘lockdown’. Bosses from Nottinghamshire Hospice decided to use this window of opportunity to carry out an impromptu ‘refurbishment’ to our village outlet, since drain work was also required on the premises. COVID Confusion Leads to Ruddington Pub Fine

A misunderstanding of the latest COVID-19 rules has led to a public house in Ruddington receiving a £1,000 fixed penalty notice for breaching current guidelines. It’s after The White Horse Inn accepted a booking with a total of 34 people for a birthday celebration on September 26th – having initially refused an enquiry to host 72 at the event. Parents will have an extra way to keep their children amused whilst shopping in Ruddington over the Autumn Half Term holidays – spotting dozens of “Olivias” displayed at our village retailers! Catalytic Converter Thefts in Ruddington

September’s Ruddington Crime statistics, just issued by Rushcliffe Police, show a spike in vehicle crime around our village. This includes two cars – one parked on Wilford Road and another on Church Street – which had their catalytic converters stolen. It seems thieves target these for the precious metals they contain – such as rhodium, palladium, and platinum – making newer vehicles the most vulnerable.
