Organisers of Ruddington’s popular monthly market on The Green are welcoming extra funding to support its growth and expansion. Through its ‘Strategic Growth Fund’, Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) has provided £14,800 in match funding for Ruddington Village Community Partnership (RVCP) to support the running of Ruddington Village Market – which now sees over 75 participating businesses each month and attracts thousands of visitors to our village. Ruddington’s main transport operator has announced the welcome news that the New Year will begin with significantly cheaper travel aboard our village buses. Nottingham City Transport (NCT) Navy 3 and Green 10 bus passengers will benefit from a 20% cut in its single fares throughout January, February and March 2023 thanks to the government funded ‘Help for Households’ initiative. The standard adult single from Ruddington to Nottingham (and vice versa) will be reduced from £2.50 to £2.00. We reported in October how £8,335 had been awarded towards The Framework Knitter’s Museum‘s ‘Shop Improvement Project’ through the Museum Development East Midlands (MDEM)’s Recovery and Reboot Grants.
