Steering the Partnership as Ruddington Networking Resumes

In common with many other activities in our village, the popular, face-to-face ‘Ruddington Business Partnership’ meetings were put on hold early in 2020 when the Coronavirus pandemic struck. With all the UK’s hospitality venues closed for a time by COVID-19, then restrictions in place after that, the monthly networking sessions at The Next Episode on Dutton’s Hill were substituted by fortnightly online meetings via Zoom – incorporating Rushcliffe Business Partnership networkers from across the Borough. New Village Guide Booklet Launched!

The latest edition of Ruddington’s must have guide – now containing 37 places to visit on a #RuddyGoodDayOut – is available now.  Ruddington Village Centre Partnership (RVCP) facilitated the official launch at their High Street stall during Ruddington’s 2018 Christmas Fayre – handing out their Loyalty Cards along with the new ‘Ruddy Good Day Out’ booklets to passers-by. Ruddington Farmers’ Market Seeks Stallholders

Another new initiative to attract shoppers into our village centre – aimed at both residents and visitors – will be trialled early in the New Year. Now organisers are looking for local traders interested in having a stall. The idea of a Ruddington Farmers’ Market has been doing the rounds since just after Easter – when Ruddington Parish Council called an Extraordinary Meeting. Ruddington Traders Join #MyHighStreet Initiative

Last month we told you about the launch of the 2018 “Great British High Street Awards” run by The Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government. If successful, our village could scoop £10,000 to spend on improvements to its shopping areas. Back in April we reported how local traders in Ruddington began exploring innovative new ways they might work together to attract more residents and visitors to use our village centre. Celebrating The Great British High Street

Ruddington is kick-starting a celebration of local high streets in a new initiative from Rushcliffe Borough Council to promote the great businesses that exist within its communities. Traders’ Task Force Takes Shape

Businesses in Ruddington have begun exploring innovative new ways they might work together in order to attract more residents and visitors to use our village centre.
