September’s Ruddington Crime statistics, just issued by Rushcliffe Police, show a spike in vehicle crime around our village. This includes two cars – one parked on Wilford Road and another on Church Street – which had their catalytic converters stolen. Man Charged After High Speed Police Pursuit in Ruddington
It’s been a busy last 24 hours for police in Ruddington – with residents reporting blue and red flashing lights darting in different directions across our village! At just before 11 o’clock last night (Thursday 24th September), West Bridgford response officers took to social media to say they had seized an uninsured vehicle in Ruddington village centre – posting the photograph above of the offending car on Vicarage Lane. Patrons enjoying a pleasant Saturday night out at a Ruddington pub found themselves surrounded by police and emergency services! Officers sped to The Red Heart on Easthorpe Street at around 9.20pm, and cordoned off the road, after a glass bottle was believed to have been thrown at a man in a fight – which left him nursing a neck wound. An ambulance also attended the scene and the man was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening or life-altering. He has since been discharged.…

Individuals who allegedly fly-tipped fridges on the A52 near Wheatcroft Island have had their vehicle seized by Rushcliffe Borough Council officers and Nottinghamshire Police. It follows several incidences of the items being dumped in the area, leading to the use of CCTV capturing those in the act during December 2018.
