This substantial building on The Green was most recently a fitness centre run by Project Body UK – the organisation selected by the County Council to take over the running of the former Young People’s Centre in 2014 when spending cuts meant that NCC could no longer afford to run it themselves. Ruddingtonians are being reminded that yet another closure of Flawforth Lane is taking place this week – scheduled for five days from Monday 22nd October at 8.00am until Friday 26th October at 5.00pm. Nottinghamshire County Council is proposing to put new double yellow lines at the junction of Ashworth Avenue and Packman Drive and to introduce “bus stop clearways” at the adjacent stops. As Ruddington’s temporary traffic lights chaos continues, with the chip shop work now over-running into a third week, the closure of a key village access route begins this Monday (September the 18th) after having been postponed on FOUR previous occasions.
