Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was left with serious injuries – which officers believe were caused by a punch to the head. The 28-year-old was knocked unconscious following reports of a fight on Easthorpe Street just after 9.30pm last night (Saturday August 21). The road was closed for a time, following the incident, to facilitate forensic investigations.
