Schools’ Jubilee Jamboree!

With events being held throughout Ruddington to mark The Queen’s 70 years on the throne, our two village schools wanted to make sure their pupils didn’t miss out because of the holiday. As an end of term treat, on Friday (27th May), children from both James Peacock Infant School and St Peter’s Junior School got together to celebrate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee. In glorious sunshine, the youngsters all gathered in the grounds of St Peter’s School on Ashworth Avenue – dressed either as royalty or in red, white and blue. After Dame…

‘Handmade in Rudd’

That’s the name of a new Facebook Group specifically for makers and buyers of local, handmade items in our village. The group’s creator, Liz Corder, says: “I was thinking about how it’s nice to shop local and that there must be a lot of creative people in Ruddington. I put a post on Ruddington Mums –…

‘Building Bridges’ in Ruddington

A new initiative which aims to unite our village’s elderly residents and pre-school children, so they can enjoy fun activities together, is continuing this week at Ruddington Methodist Church. Youth & Family Worker at The Methodist Church, Andy Proffitt, told RUDDINGTON.info: “As a church we were aware that we were mainly working with these…
