Man in Critical Condition Following Ruddington Fight

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was left with serious injuries – which officers believe were caused by a punch to the head. The 28-year-old was knocked unconscious following reports of a fight on Easthorpe Street just after 9.30pm last night (Saturday August 21). The road was closed for a time, following the incident, to facilitate forensic investigations. Incident at The Red Heart

Patrons enjoying a pleasant Saturday night out at a Ruddington pub found themselves surrounded by police and emergency services! Officers sped to The Red Heart on Easthorpe Street at around 9.20pm, and cordoned off the road, after a glass bottle was believed to have been thrown at a man in a fight – which left him nursing a neck wound. An ambulance also attended the scene and the man was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening or life-altering. He has since been discharged.…

Boxing Day Crash in Ruddington

Motorists attempting to get in and out of our village via the A52 this afternoon have found themselves diverted following a serious accident on Loughborough Road. Emergency services were scrambled to the A60 in Ruddington at around 2.50pm today after reports of an overturned car. Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue said that it involved just one vehicle in collision with a tree. The road was then closed by Nottinghamshire Police in both directions between Kirk Lane and the Nottingham Knight roundabout whilst the driver was treated at the scene. He was then…
