Steering the Partnership as Ruddington Networking Resumes

In common with many other activities in our village, the popular, face-to-face ‘Ruddington Business Partnership’ meetings were put on hold early in 2020 when the Coronavirus pandemic struck. With all the UK’s hospitality venues closed for a time by COVID-19, then restrictions in place after that, the monthly networking sessions at The Next Episode on Dutton’s Hill were substituted by fortnightly online meetings via Zoom – incorporating Rushcliffe Business Partnership networkers from across the Borough. Helpful Hub For Our Armed Forces Community

A military veteran, who is now serving on Ruddington Parish Council, is welcoming a new online resource which supports our local Armed Forces community. Nottinghamshire County Council has just unveiled an accessible page added to its website called ‘The Armed Forces Hub’. Our Village Market Turns Three!

Organisers of Ruddington Village Market are planning something of a celebration this February – as the popular, monthly event celebrates its third birthday. Whilst it might seem like only yesterday, in fact its launch was way back in February 2019. Whilst it’s over a year since the first COVID-19 vaccinations started to be rolled out in England, village residents have been forced to travel further afield to get our jabs – until now! The good news is that the first ever vaccinations against the Coronavirus to be administered here in Ruddington were given to patients at Ruddington Medical Centre just before Christmas. Boxing Day Action at Elms Park

A charity soccer match – which traditionally takes place in Ruddington every Boxing Day – returns this year. After being cancelled by COVID-19 last Christmas, spectators are warmly welcomed back to Elms Park on December 26th 2021 at 11am for what promises to be a feast of family fun and football.
